Methodology, limits and licence
- Demand: monthly Google Ads volumes from September 2025 to August 2026 for 26 markets, in each one's main language: local tallow term, culinary and soap-making variants, and “beef tallow” everywhere. Ambiguous terms (“suif” alone, “Talg” alone, “suet”) are excluded from the totals.1
- Population: Eurostat at 1 January 2025, ONS mid-2025 for the United Kingdom.2
- Prices: 120 public product pages read on 9 October 2026, prices including VAT excluding delivery, converted at the ECB rate of 8 October 2026; wholesalers excluded; a country is ranked only from 3 readings; no FrenchTallow price included.5, 6
Limits: Google Ads volumes are rounded bands, to be read as a minimum; the absence of a volume does not prove the absence of demand; over twelve months, season and trend are confounded; prices are a dated, non-exhaustive sample; hashtag counters are cumulative totals read by a third-party tool.
